“This dog looks as if he was used as a bait dog,” the rescue coordinator explained. “He came in with severe injuries, but he is doing much better now. He wags his tail when someone enters the room and shows no aggression towards the shelter staff, even in his pain. He wants to be with people, despite what he’s been through. He’s scared but eager to love and be loved.”
The shelter has designated this battered dog as “rescue only,” highlighting the urgent need for a reputable rescue group or an adoptive family to step in. His birthday is a poignant reminder of the compassion he deserves and the new beginning he desperately needs.
